Deva Premal – 3 times Gayatri Mantra

The Gayatri Mantra is said to be the oldest and most powerful of mantras, being thousands of years old. It purifies the person chanting it as well as the listener as it creates a tangible sense of well being in whoever comes across it. Translated, it means “May all beings on earth reach enlightenment,” but as with all mantras, the meaning of the Sanskrit words isn’t as important as the effect the vibrations of the words have on the body and energy centers. (*Deva) 1. 08:00 Gayatri Mantra 2009 – Deva Premal, Miten with Manose (Live) 2. 09:50 Gayatri Mantra 1998 – Deva Premal – The Essence 3. 09:47 Gayatri Mantra 1998 – Deva Premal – The Essence (Bonus Track) Deva Premal’s debut album “The Essence” has become a best-seller in the USA and Europe, and is one of the most popular albums in the New Age world. This top selling New Age/World beat CD is smooth, silky, calming and peaceful and was originally created for those who attended Deva & Miten’s chant workshops. Featuring Deva Premal’s transcendant voice, ambient grooves, keyboard and hand percussion, The Essence invokes the heart healing power of ancient chants and mantras. The Gayatri Mantra, the world’s oldest mantra, known for purification and healing, is the centerpiece of this truly meditative CD.

Gayatri Mantra can be sung by anyone (men and women). Just need a heart to sing it. Nothing else is required. Your heart will automatically get purified. Love from India.

    Gayatri Mantra actually translates as:
“Om, the Pervading Essence (bhur) of health and wellbeing (buvah, svah), that Self-Born Source (tat savitur), most virtuous (varenyam), cleansing (bhargo), through the Gods (devasya), by whom (yo) our(nah) intellect (dhiyo) is inspired by fine speech (prachodayat).”
