Manjushri Mantra Om Ah Ra Pa Ca Na Dhih

I use several ways to visualize and “channel” Bodhisattva Manjusri; while chanting Om Ah Ra Pa Tsa Dhih. Another way is to use an image of Manjushri. Manju is frequently depicted with his right hand holding a double edged flaming sword. His his left hand is holding a lotus flower, upon which rests the Prajnaparamita (Perfection of Discerning Wisdom) Sutra. He is often shown riding a Shishi lion. The lion symbolizes the various defilement’s {Klesha, Bonno} that obscure our innate Bodhi or Awakened Wisdom. Riding the Lion represents taming of the Kleshas. The sword cuts through ignorance and yields the light of discernment. The Lotus and the Perfection of Discernment Book represent Enlightened Wisdom emerging from darkness of confusion. Also, his countenance is generally youthful, indicating the timeless and ageless nature of wisdom. gongyosense.blogspot.com

Sorry too many mistakes, why I don’t know: The mantra is an open one. The reason why I remember it so well is because of its form. As I’ve said this is how I learnt it, but recently I heard the Karmapa and he said as it is chanted here. Still many mistakes cropping up and so I assume that this is the correct one. Okay

@Ganeschar that is how u pronounce it, like Tsa is pronounced sa. its a different language so dont be so literal.

Curious because I know this mantra a long time … and know the following: – OM RA PA TSA NA DHI.
Each of these syllables refer to each and every part of that whole.
In the case of a person, plus many things, the syllable TSA in the human body refers to the liver.
It’s just that I do have the oracle of Manjushri which is called-MO!

  22. nichibek says:

En mi opinión, el acento no importa.

  23. theoquach says:

Manjushri help the mind to be free from ignorance and heighten’s one’s intelligence.
Allowing clarity of thought and increase memory retention.

    Thank you for this mantra.
